Bananas for Boots!!

Dethrose Vintage is starting to get in more and more boots! Fall is settling in here in Chicago, people are finally pulling out their boots. I, however, have been sporting my boots since September 1st! I am getting in tall, short, ankle, knee high and lil booties. I thought I would just show you a few I have listed so far. More to come by Friday....
 1970's Taupe Grey FRYE Boots (7M) $45

1970's Burgundy Supple Leather Boots (8M)

1980's Black Ankle Length Booties (8M)

1960's MOD White Mid Calf Boots (7.5)

And please contact me if you are looking for some particular and I am sure I have it or can find it for you! I will be listing at least 3 more this week!

And thank you to my Big Sis Amy over at Mittens for saying such sweet things about me and my little shop. She has been my biggest supporter since the beginning! If it wasn't for her I would not have an Etsy. I will be posting more about Amy and her amazing 2 Etsy shops, Mittens and The Vintage Market Place later this month. Among other ladies that are truly influential to me.

A Dreamy Dress

I always frequent my favorite shops and blogs daily. Mostly for inspiration and to check and see what my fellow vintage ladies are up to. I always bookmark items they may have for sale, hoping to snatch them up quick. More often than not, my favorite items are bought 2 seconds before I hit that add to cart button. But this time I lucked out and time was on my side! I was shopping in the lovely Quincy's Etsy shop, Q's Daydream, when I came across these amazing burgundy Eitenne Aigner boots. I quickly emailed Quincy asking to hold them for me and before I knew I came across the most dreamy dress. I mean this dress was meant for me to own. It was slightly too big but I knew I could make it work and eventually have it fitted to me. I mean, you know what it is like to want something so bad that no matter the size you will find a way to make it work. That is precisely what I did. I made it fit and I wore it today and felt amazing in it.

I always shop Q's before any of the girls I "know" through this lil ol' blogging world because we have very similar interests in our style and old movie stars. Quincy is a beautiful quirky girl hailing from Nashville and if you don't follow her blog I suggest you start! Go here! Her obsession with Elvis is too cute and her posts are always an entertaining read. I hope to put together a little interview of some my favorite bloggers and she will be one of the firsts for sure!

Here are some photos from today of this dress I fell for. And what a better place to snap photos of this dress  than in front of my Bird wall! Sooooo Cute, I think it is becoming one of my favorite parts of my new apartment! Photos of the boots too this week!

**And notice how long my hair is getting!! I'm so excited to have long hair again...

Wow its been awhile...

Sorry for neglecting this little ol' blog! I am currently in the process of moving, selling furniture and yada yada yada. It always takes up so much time! But this is a new and exciting time for me. I haven't lived on my own since I was 24...that was a while ago. The best part of this whole experience has been the finding and shopping for furniture. I have to say, I think I am now enjoying furniture and decor shopping as much as clothing. I'm "outfitting" my apartment and I can't way to show all of you the finished details. I am still looking for the perfect fainting couch or chaise...and I need to sell my current couch and chair...memories attached that I would love to get rid of once and for all. So if ya know of anyone who would love a big comfy couch and matching chair in perfect condition email me asap!

Every night has been full of packing tape and cardboard boxes. I miss my nights of catching up on fellow blogs and current lines. Soon I will have time to catch up and tell ya all about my favorite lines and blogs! I am so excited to see what everyone has been up to. Along with a big big photo shoot coming up in 2 weeks with Katie and Richie. I can't say much but it will be amazing!

Until then I will be taking a lot of time to work on ETSY and show you what Dethrose Vintage has been up to. I have so many new items, dresses, skirts, sweaters and accessories. And now with my new apartment I will finally have the studio space I have been dreaming of to work on Dethrose. Which means better photos, quicker turn around on listings and more frequent blog postings. In preparation for these changes I am once again holding a sale on Dethrose.

Now here is a peak of the scenery of my upcoming photo shoot ....

2 posts in one day!? Yep, that makes it a sick day.

I know they say that when you're sick you're supposed to be get a lot of rest, but that is never the case with me. My sister Amy can agree with me on this, I think it runs in our family that we are feeling ill we take advantage of the time at home to get house work done. Hahaha, I did laundry, organized my vintage and worked on Dethrose all day. I mean they said rest, staying at home working is very relaxing for me. I have a lot of work coming up in the next few weeks...I am moving...let me know if you wanna help me pack!

So even though I already did one post today, I did so much in Dethrose today it's time for another shop update. Hopefully I can get a few more posts and more new items this week.
