So Long 2010!

Another year has passed, and way too fast! 2010 flew by, it really is kinda fuzzy. I mean at the beginning of the year my blog and shop was Max & Chloe. Changing my name was just the beginning. At first I really wasn't that keen on having to change the name. I mean, Max & Chloe was the start of all this and it had meaning to me beyond vintage. But when Dethrose came about, I instantly got a terrific feeling. It was one of those moments where you just feel it, it made sense. Since the change, it has been very positive for my little shop. More shoppers, more blogger meet ups and just a better all around vibe.

Now I have a lot of free time on my hands, actually today was the start of that. I truly could not be more excited about this! I am planning so many new and exciting things for 2011. More traveling, more vintage show cases. Starting next weekend actually! Vintage Heaven, and then on the 15th the grand opening of Krispy Fringe Vintage Couture. Invites will be sent out very very soon! I can't wait to write more to all of you and do more interviews with my fav bloggers!

In the meantime I wanna leave you all with 2 things. First, a special New Year Give Away! I want you all to tell me what your plans are for the New Year, and what was your favorite thing about 2010. On Monday morning after we have all recuperated, I will pick one of your names and I will send you a special vintage item to start your new year off with a bang! So either leave comments or email me at dethrosevintage@gmail.com
Second,
Man oh Man I love mixing Patterns. Hahaha can you tell!?

So sad about this little 40's Jacket, it was a gift and someone stole it from me:(

What do I love more than mixing patterns?! Outdoor photoshoots!

Green is my most favorite color!
Under the EL downtown. I love taking my tripod places and watching the people's reaction walking by. They always look at me like I am a crazy person!

My Cracker Your Wardrobe Photo Shoot, Korean Fashion Magazine, with the Lovely Isa from Chicago Looks!
Probably my favorite dress I scored this year! It came with a matching jacket!

Halloween!!! I love being at my family's for Halloween:)

Love this dress from the adorable and stylish Quincy over at Q's Daydream!
Anyone who knows me knows that this is how I must start my day! Latte in hand:)
Pasadena with Sis!
I think this is whitest my hair has ever been!

Shop Updates and Ebay

Phew am I exhausted! I don't know about you, but this weather and the Holidays really make me lazy. Normally I wouldn't mind that but I have far to much to do over the next month to be lazy and in a tired mood. Now that the Holidays are over, time is back on my side. I awoke early this morning to photograph some new items for the shop and to list some non vintage clothing on Ebay. Now, I am not a big fan of bay in general. But when it comes to posting new items Ebay always works best. I have been cleaning out my closet, correction...closets, and I realized that I have way too much clothing! I donated about 4 bags to Charity! I am ashamed to say that I found things with the tags still attached! So these are the things that are going up on Ebay.

As far as the Dethrose Vintage shop goes, I have a lot of new things to add! Very very fun and flirty items. I have to say, this is my most favorite update and the best is yet to come!
 1960's Peach Party Dress (S-M)
1960's Blue Sheen Cropped Jacket (S-M)
1950's Full Circle Skirt (25w) & 1950's Handmade Pastel Plaid Blouse (S-M)
1960's Blue and Yellow Floral Skirt (26w)

And....once again I need your help deciding whether or not to keep this adorable cropped bolero. Bright red and the biggest ruffles ever!! I love but do I need? Help!!

Christmas Fun!

I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday!
I was a bit sad that I couldn't go home for the Holidays. Not because of the Christmas holiday really, but because it's the only time of year that my friends and family are usually in the same place. But instead of being all down in the dumps about it, I decided to make the best of it and have a wonderful time here with my Chicago family. Many of my friends here were on their way home for the Holidays but I was lucky that two of my good friends could make it over to hang out for some food, movies and Jameson! We watched so many movies and talked and lauged so much that my checks hurt from smiling! I spent all christmas eve baking cookies in preparation. I don't bake, i just never took the time to learn. So I have recently decided to change that! I am really getting into this whole Susie Homemaker thing right now, I really felt great about cooking and i am going to try new recipes and give it a go! Jason came over this afternoon and made amazing Mexican food for a lovely Christmas dinner!! Oh my oh my it was absolutely delicious! Kat came over just in time for us all to exchange presents, watch Home Alone and warm up Jameson cocktails and chocolate chip cake:) It was a perfect evening of laughs and love! Just what we all needed for the Holidays! It was simply perfect, and I was so glad we could spend time with Jason and his first Christmas here in Chicago! The evening ended perfect with a little photoshoot in the Snow!
Right after dinner enjoying some Home Alone:P
 Yummy Chocolate Chip Cake!
Jason being a goof:) So cute!

All the pictures with snowballs look like they're on fire! hahaha

There were so many more photos but my camera decided to not capture them and the batteries died. Sadness fell over us:( More fun camera time in the snow a little later!

Hope you all had just as lovely of an Holiday:)
