weekend wonder

This weekend was a very chaotic yet fabulous weekend here in Chicago. I had planned to just do some shopping at the Renegade craft fair and attend my friends, Dave & Alma, wedding. I should of known that nothing would go as planned. No complaining here though! My friend Niki from Bombshell Shocked Vintage called and asked if I would like an opportunity to sell at Renegade...sort of. Her friends own a great space right where the fair was taking place and basically had invited us to set up shop right in the heart of the fair. Well of course I jumped at the chance not only to sell but to hang out with Niki! It was a great weekend full of friends, fellow bloggers stopping by all weekend and tons of lovely ladies buying vintage! It was so fantastic, Chicago skies were clear and sunny when the forecast originally called for rain. All in all one of the best sales ever! And new friends that I had a pleasure meeting and spending some time with. This weekend was the perfect ending to one of the worst weeks I had been having, leaving me to realize that I am one lucky gal doing what I love surrounded by people I love!

So in case you were all wondering, I went with the 3rd choice of what to wear to the wedding. It was a very warm weekend and this was just too perfect of a dress for an end of Summer wedding. I accessorized it perfect with pale yellow gloves, a yellow hair piece in my braid, a giant green cocktail ring and necklace and bright blue pumps! I hope you all approve:)

The wedding was absolutely stunning and elegant. Very intimate and so tastefully done. Alma & Dave did practically everything themselves and they made it look so effortless!

Alma made her dress from a 1930s gown & she added to a simple hat and made one gorgeous wedding ensemble! Not to mention her wonderful CHANEL booties!
My fav part of every wedding...The Cake!!!!

The following day was the second day of the Renegade Sale. I really wish I would have gotten more photos of Niki and I at our booths! It was such a fabulous weekend despite all the chaos:) I love my friends!!

Next Sunday will be another fantastic Vintage and Antique sale. That's right it's that time again for The Vintage Bazaar! My brother Jon will once again be bringing his amazing antique collection to Chicago. If you haven't ever had a chance to see his collection in person you are seriously missing out! Jon has the best eye and taste for one of a kind pieces. So please stop by our booth this Sunday and say hello:) We will be outdoors in the lot!

The Vintage Bazaar will be on Spetember 18th @ 11am to 6pm
Congress Theater
2135 N. Milwaukee
