Ga Ga for Gingham

This weekend was the monthly vintage sale at Heaven's Gallery. And I had family in town. Needless to say it was a busy weekend. Vintage Heaven was great as usual, met some great people and got to hang out with my favorite vintage ladies. Including Sara from Lovestory Vintage. I never go without buying something from Sara. The majority of my favorite dresses come from her shop. I bought this dress I'm wearing below this weekend from Sara. Although I love it, I just don't think it fits me very well. I don't think I fill it out well, so here is your opportunity to own it! Today was a day off for me, kinda, after a long morning of working, I took the afternoon and evening to walk around the city with Kat. We stopped downtown in Anthropologie where I got a fab new dress, I mean FABULOUS! Just wait til you see the pictures:) But anyway, it was a perfect photo opt!

40s meets 60s

Yesterday was a day of relaxation and self pampering. After a long and busy weekend, I decided to take of myself. Vintage shopping, enjoying the gorgeous weather walking around the city and finishing it up with a mani/pedi. During my shopping I found so many fab things from all decades! 2 things out of about the 25 things I got will be living in my closet til I'm through with them:) The rest will be available in Dethrose Vintage this week!

A gorgeous rayon floral 1940s kimono style blouse (which at one point had a dress, I just know it!) and a 1960s chambray jumper. Bought separately, I knew they belonged with one another:) What do you think?

Pretty in Polka Dots

I've been waiting to post about this dress/look for the last week. It has been far too hot here, we're talking 95+ degrees, sweating in a sheer vintage dress is never a good look. Then today it rains:( So indoor photoshoot it is. The flaw of the plan was that it was so gloomy I had to use my indoor lighting, yuck! Be prepared to see this shot again later when it is sunny and gorgeous outside:) 

The second I laid my eyes on this dress in M's shop Adelaide Homesewn I had to have it. She always has the best little selection, please check it out! I already had visions of various ways to wear this dress in my brain. Each idea for each season. So this is my summer Sunday best idea:)

 I honestly have never felt so feminine and fresh in an outfit before. Seriously, I felt like being on a lake in a paddle boat with a parasol:)

 As you may have noticed recently, I have had my hair up all summer. I just taught myself how to frenchbraid my hair and now I am addicted! And with the humidity, it's impossible to curl and wear it down without looking like a poodle! My hair is below my shoulders now so 100 degrees with long hair is no good!
